Taking centre stage - On and off the pitch
The Welsh musicians bringing Hwyl to the EURO Party - a celebration of culture, language, and music as Wales heads to Switzerland.
From bilingual reggae to boundary-pushing post-punk, this all-female roster represents the very best of modern Welsh music. Proudly rooted in the Welsh language and identity, these artists embody the creative confidence of a nation on the rise.
And, to mark this historic milestone for the Wales women’s squad, one artist has even written a special song inspired by their journey to the EUROS.
Throughout the first week of the tournament, Welsh artists - singers, DJs and bands - will take to the stage with electrifying performances. Their music, a fearless fusion of bilingual lyricism and genre-defying sounds, will amplify the spirit of modern Wales, bringing its vibrant identity to an international audience.
So, what does the schedule look like?
Reggae with calon (heart): Aleighcia Scott
First up, Aleighcia Scott will kick start celebrations the night before Wales’ first game versus Netherlands, playing a gig in the heart of Lucerne’s official UEFA Fanzone.
Cardiff-born, Jamaican-rooted, and globally recognised, Aleighcia is the voice of a new era. Fusing deep grooves, bilingual storytelling and big emotion, her music is helping redefine modern reggae.
Her debut album, Windrush Baby, hit number one on the iTunes Reggae Chart and was shortlisted for a Welsh Music Prize. Her recent single Dod o’r Galon, the first ever Welsh-language reggae track to top the iTunes Reggae Chart, made history and headlines, showcasing the international power of Welsh-language music. Named one of The Guardian’s breakout artists of 2025 and a regular on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio Wales, and Y Llais (the Welsh language version of the Voice), Aleighcia is not just an artist, she’s a cultural force. Expect soulful vocals and a celebration of roots, rhythm and resilience.
Keeping the party going: DJ Molly Palmer
Next, ahead of the Welsh match on 5 July, DJ Molly Palmer will represent Wales behind the decks in a special back-to-back set with Dutch DJs Remco & Romy. With pre-match music, a fan walk to the stadium, and a buzz of excitement in the air, it’s the perfect build-up to Cymru’s historic first group game - and just the start of the celebrations.
From South Wales to Switzerland, Molly is ready to get the dancefloor moving. A resident DJ and presenter with BBC Radio Wales, she’s also a familiar face on S4C’s flagship music show Yn Y Lŵp, where she champions the freshest Welsh talent. Whether it’s on air, on screen or behind the decks, Molly’s mission is simple: platforming grassroots music and keep people dancing. Expect genre-spanning beats, big energy and a sound that’s uniquely Welsh.
An afterparty for the ages
As the Wales v Netherlands game draws to a close, Merched yn Gwneud Miwsig and Team Cymru will be hosting an unmissable afterparty - a night of live music, female energy and cultural connection at Lucerne’s iconic Schüür Konzerthall. As soon as the final whistle blows on Wales’ opening match, the venue will light up with an electrifying Welsh-Swiss line-up. Aleighcia Scott, DJ Molly Palmer and Welsh indie-rock band Adwaith will paint the town red and bring Welsh flavour to the city for the night, while rising Swiss artist Giulia Dabala and local DJ talent will help complete a celebration that’s as international as it is unapologetically Welsh. With food trucks outside and a dancefloor full of hwyl, this is more than an afterparty - it’s a cultural moment.
A soundtrack for the summer: Adwaith
Carmarthen’s own Adwaith are no strangers to making history. The trailblazing trio - Hollie Singer, Gwenllian Anthony and Heledd Owen - are the only band to win the prestigious Welsh Music Prize for album of the year twice. Known for their fusion of post-punk, alt-pop and indie experimentation, their third album Solas (2025) is a bold, 23-track epic written across Wales, Lisbon and the Outer Hebrides - and has been described as their most powerful work yet.
They’ve played everywhere from Glastonbury to SXSW, and their anthem Eto was named Dydd Miwsig Cymru’s Welsh Language Track of the Decade. Now, they’ve written a dedicated song of unity and teamwork specifically for the Euros, Aros Am Y Chwiban, - a melody celebrating Wales’ shared spirit and pride that’s worthy of a place on a FIFA soundtrack.
From Lucerne to St Gallen
With Wales’ second and third games taking place in St Gallen, the celebrations will move east from Lucerne to the city, which is home to FC St.Gallen - the oldest football club in continental Europe. Merched yn Gwneud Miwsig will host a special cultural get-together. Following this, in the city’s bustling UEFA Fanzone, Adwaith and Aleighcia Scott will return to the stage once more for a powerful open-air set, bringing the sound of Wales to the streets ahead of Cymru’s second group game.
