On completion of the intercept survey on the wales.com, your data will be collected and stored till the end of the year where it will be entered into a Survey Prize Draw.  The information you provide in the Survey will be shared with a contracted research company for evaluation purposes.  If you agree to be contacted in the future, you may get future tourism research surveys. 

Your data will be held for no longer than 6 months and will be deleted after this time.

  • Welsh Government officials who are working on this campaign 
  • NHS Wales Shared Services – they receive and respond to all queries (on our behalf) sent to enquiries@trainworklive.wales, via our Facebook and Twitter, and our online forms.
  • NHS Health Boards and Trusts in Wales – if you are interested in working in a particular area of Wales.
  • Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) – if you are interested in training in Wales.
  • We do not pass on your details to any third party or other government department.

Wales in Germany

If you sign up to Wales in Germany activity the Welsh Government will be the Data Controller for the personal data you provide. We will only use it to administer your email account and to keep you informed of events and activity related to the Welsh Government’s Wales in Germany campaign.

Your data may be shared with organisations contracted by Welsh Government to solely deliver Welsh Government sponsored business and marketing support associated to the content of the information submitted. The collected information will be accessible by Welsh Government International Relations and Overseas Offices, Welsh Government Business Marketing team, Welsh Government support service teams and its system technical administrators who support the IT system. System technical administrators will not use your details in any way.

Your personal data will be stored on an electronic customer relationship management (ECRM) system.

You can unsubscribe from Wales in Germany communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email you receive from us, or you can email us at Germany@gov.wales. Following industry standard practice when you unsubscribe your email address will be retained on a system suppression list to ensure you no longer receive emails from us.

Your details will be retained on our systems in line with Welsh Government retention policy for up to two years as part of our ongoing training and quality reviews.

Your rights 

Under the data protection legislation, you have the right to: 

  • access the personal data the Welsh Government holds on you; 
  • require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data; 
  • (in certain circumstances) object to or restrict processing; 
  • (in certain circumstances) your data to be ‘erased’; 
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) who is our independent regulator for data protection.
