It was a privilege to have Elin Rhys of Welsh production company Telesgop and Director Alex Kiehl in India earlier this year.

They held the Indian premiere of their film, The Peace Particle, in the city of dreams, Mumbai, before hosting a special screening at UNESCO House in New Delhi.

The film explores CERN's founding mission, using physics as a vehicle for international diplomacy, unity and collaboration. CERN was born after the end of the Second World War to bring former adversary nations together, and is famous of course for housing the Large Hadron Collider.

The film itself was the brainchild of Elin, who realised how many Welsh scientists, engineers and researchers have impacted CERN over its 70-year history, including key pioneers such as Dr Lyn Evans, who led the construction of the Large Hadron Collider, to Dr Rhodri Jones, who today serves as Head of CERN's Beams Department.

It is a great watch. It is inspiring to see scientists from across the world gather at CERN, whether Welsh, Indian or anywhere in between, to drive new discoveries.

The film was a co-production for S4C, supported by Creative Wales and S4C Commercial.

The Indian tour was supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in India and Bhutan and Swissnex in India, Consulate General of Switzerland. A great example of how science, international collaboration and just a good and inspiring story can bring countries and people together.

For those of you in the UK, you can watch it on BBC iPlayer.
