VisitWales.com is the national tourism marketing website for Wales aimed at a wide-range of English speaking audiences globally. This website is run by a team team within Welsh Government responsible for the development and promotion of the visitor economy in Wales.
Our main aim is to encourage people to come on holiday here, because Wales is amazing! We also want to grow tourism and support the industry, focusing on Wales’ strengths. Wales offers world-leading adventure, creative culture and language and outstanding, protected landscapes – and a place that wants to look after them for future generations.

Brand and campaigns

Our marketing campaigns aim to build and enhance on our well-established and well-supported Cymru Wales brand. Our brand is rooted in the concept of ‘Bro a Byd’ – i.e. that we can excel in Wales when local meets global in a way that feels authentic, creative and alive.

The brand strategy is clear, short and simple and centres on the following core objectives. Our brand and all associated activity should seek to:

  • Elevate our status
  • Surprise and Inspire
  • Change perceptions
  • Do good things
  • Be unmistakably Wales
