Chinese cultural events in Wales

At the National Museum in Cardiff, an art exhibition featuring Chinese art spanning 600 years is being held as part of the celebrations for the Year of the Legend. It is the first opportunity to see these paintings anywhere in the UK.

2017 is the Year of the Legend. For more information go to our sister site Visit Wales.

The exhibition, which takes place until 23 April, is called Nature's Song: Chinese Bird and Flower Paintings and has been organised in collaboration with the Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing.

A talk about the exhibition takes place on Friday 10 February, with a Welsh language talk on Thursday 30 March.

During the half term break, there is a Chinese Legends Family Workshop using art from the exhibition for inspiration.

Chinese New Year

The museum is holding an event to celebrate the Year of the Rooster, with a Chinese New Year exhibition on Saturday 4 February.
