Our eight Enterprise Zones are designated areas across Wales where the Welsh Government has created the best possible conditions for your business to thrive.

The Zones are all focused on particular sectors, so at least one will particularly suit your business. And whether you're looking to start up a new venture or your business is growing, you'll find they offer very compelling business benefits.

What is an Enterprise Zone?

Enterprise Zones are where your enterprise meets ours.

In other words, they are where we create the best possible conditions for your business to thrive.

So, when you choose to locate to one of the eight Enterprise Zones in Wales you can rely on support from a pro-business government, the skills you need to grow, first-class virtual and real-world infrastructure, a wide range of property and development opportunities, highly competitive overheads and some of the highest levels of financial incentives in the UK.

To date 366 businesses located within the zones have received financial support from Welsh Government, attracting more than £115 million public and private sector investment. This has helped to create or safeguard a total 7,795 jobs across the Zones since they were established in 2012.

Where are Enterprise Zones located in Wales?

There are eight confirmed locations,

They are:

  • Anglesey - focusing on the Energy sector
  • Cardiff Airport and St Athan - focusing on the Aerospace sector
  • Central Cardiff - focusing on the Financial and Professional Services sector
  • Deeside - focusing on the Advanced Manufacturing sector
  • Ebbw Vale - focusing on the Advanced Manufacturing sector
  • Haven Waterway - focusing on the Energy and Environment sector
  • Port Talbot Waterfront - focusing on the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing, Energy and Environment and Construction sectors
  • Snowdonia - focusing on the Energy and Environment and ICT sectors
