Spring Climate in Wales
During spring the leaves grow on the trees and as we near the end of spring the blossom is a delight to see. Spring begins with the snowdrops, followed by daffodils, one of our National Symbols. Bluebells can be seen during April and tulips bloom as spring draws to a close.
In the Spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours ~ Mark Twain.
Twain wasn't talking about Wales, but we know how he felt! Spring can be a bit unpredictable. Especially at the start of the season, the weather can vary from quite mild to snowing.
As spring progresses it becomes milder and we enjoy longer days. It gets lighter earlier and stays lighter much later in the evening. The clocks move forward one hour onto British Summer Time at the end of March. It stays light until around 9pm by late May.
