Ifor ap Glyn
Poet
Ap Glyn grew up in the Welsh speaking community in London, a place that his family has called home for over a hundred years. He and his family now live in Caernarfon where he works as a TV producer. In 1999, he composed the Crown-winning poem at the National Eisteddfod, and in 2008-2009, he had the honor of serving as Wales’ Children’s Poet Laureate.

Gwyneth Glyn
Writer and musician
Glyn is a native Welsh-language singer-songwriter, poet and writer. Having graduated in Philosophy and Theology from Oxford University, she returned home to Wales. She draws inspiration from her beloved landscape, the Welsh folk heritage, and her American country icons, Gillian Welch and Gram Parsons. Accompanied by her guitar, she celebrates a unique marriage of these two great traditions.

Aneirin Karadog
Poet/rapper
Aneirin Karadog was born in North Wales and raised in the valleys of South Wales. He writes poetry in the strict Welsh meter called Cynghanedd and raps with several hip-hop groups. Aneirin is a presenter on the daily Welsh language television programme Wedi 7 and established the first Welsh language programme on the internet called Siaradog.

Daniel Morden
Storyteller
Morden has told traditional tales for a living since 1989. His work has taken him all over the world, from the Arctic to the Pacific, and he regularly performs at The National Theatre, the Barbican Centre, and major literature festivals in Britain. In 2007, his book Dark Tales from the Woods won the Tir Na Nog Award.

Gower has worked as a journalist and documentary-maker for a quarter of a century and was BBC Wales' first arts and media correspondent. He has written or edited ten books, including an account of a disappearing island in Chesapeake Bay. He has just published his first Welsh language novel which links Buenos Aires, Oakland and Cardiff.

Ceri Wyn Jones

Jones won Wales’ most coveted poetry prize, the Chair, at the 1997 National Eisteddfod. His first collection, Dauwynebog, was short-listed for the Wales Book of the Year Award in 2008, and his poetry is studied throughout Wales. Clare Potter is a performance poet/ writer brought up in Blackwood, South Wales. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with an MA in Afro–Caribbean literature. She then moved to New Orleans, where she was a consultant for the New Orleans Writing Project. On returning to Wales after ten years, Clare won the 2004 John Tripp Award for Spoken Poetry and her collection spilling histories was published (Cinnamon, 2006). Gerald Conn
Animator
A specialist in sand animation, Conn is renowned in his field. He has produced award winning films, many of which explore cultural interactions. He teaches animation to students of all levels and has presented his work in France, India, and Japan. Conn was instrumental in establishing Cinetig, a production company that gives youth the opportunity to get involved in the film production process.

Sean Harris
Animator
Born in England, Harris moved to Wales in 1995. His long established practice as a printmaker changed directions in 2005 when he started to cut up and animate his hand-made prints, and he has since made a series of films exploring mythology and archaeology, featuring prehistoric artifacts from the collections of the National Museums of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

David Vickers
Master printer
Vickers is Controller of the Gwasg Gregynog, a charity organization that seeks to preserve Wales’ rich traditions in the Book Arts and maintain the Gregynog Press, which was established in 1922. A time-served craftsman and a fluent Welsh speaker, he joined the Press at the time of its re-establishment in 1978, and has been involved in every aspect of its book-production since.

Julian Thomas
Bookbinder
Since 1980, Thomas has worked as the Head of the Conservation Section in the National Library of Wales. He is also commissioned to work on fine-bindings and book conservation projects at his home workshop, and in 1996, he was elected a Fellow of Designer Bookbinders. Thomas is a member of the Society of Bookbinders and the Institute of Paper Conservation. |

Sharon Morgan

Morgan has been a familiar presence on stage screen and radio for almost forty years, performing in both Welsh and English. In 1998, she won a BAFTA Best Actress Award. She is the author of a trilogy on women's identity, and her translation of the Vagina Monologues won Best Production from Theatre Wales in 2004. |

Iona Hughes
Welsh language tutor
Hughes spent 10 yearsteaching in Welsh medium primary schools where she also researched Sikhism and Buddhism. Her experiences in Laos, both traveling and participating in a fellowship, have helped her to bring religion to life in the classroom. She now works at Glamorgan and Cardiff Universities as a Welsh Language Tutor for adults. |
