- We are one of the few countries in the world where sustainable development is a core responsibility for our government. It is the Welsh Government’s Ministers duty to integrate our social, economic and environmental objectives to improve well being now and in the future.
- Our Ministers are currently developing a Sustainable Development Scheme which will set out how our commitments will contribute to the well-being of the people of Wales and make a lasting difference within our communities. It will also show how we can achieve our aims using only our fair share of the earth’s resources.
- By 2026 we want to see our distinctive Welsh environment thriving and contributing to the economic and social wellbeing and health of all the people of Wales.
- We're the world's first Fair Trade Nation.
- Our Senedd (seat of our National Assembly) is crammed full of environmental features. It's ventilated naturally and harvests rainwater to flush the toilets!
