What are you doing this weekend?

We thought we’d write a quick piece on some of the great events that Wales has got going on over the weekend…..

Saturday sees the start of the National Eisteddfod of Wales in Ebbw Vale. The Eisteddfod is one of Wales’ biggest festivals with an eclectic mix of Welsh culture, music, visual arts and a celebration of the Welsh language. This year sees performances by Only Men Aloud and newly formed Only Boys Aloud.

Cardiff Festival continues this weekend with the opening of Calendar Girls at the Wales Millennium Centre starring Denise Black, Jean Boht, Jennifer Ellison, Julia Hills, Rachel Lumberg, Ruth Madoc and Elaine C Smith. For ticket information call 08700 40 2000.

Also part of Cardiff Festival is the Admiral Big Weekend, a huge fun fair and live music event in the centre of Wales’ capital. This year’s festival sees home grown and top international artists playing on the FREE live music stage over 3 days.

The North Wales Boat Show starts tomorrow with over a hundred local and international companies and organisations exhibiting. The three day event takes place at the Vaynol Estate in Bangor with lots of attractions and watersports to try.

And the final of the Welsh International Super Cup takes place this weekend in Aberystwyth. Now in its 26th year, teams from around the world will be heading to mid Wales for the tournament, which always attract many Premiership football scouts in the search for the future stars of the game.

Enjoy!
