As well as our traditional sports, we do like to do things a little differently in Wales.

How does a mile long zip wire sound to you? Zip World has the longest zip wire in Europe. If you aren't feeling so brave, Bounce Below (pictured) is based on the same site and is great fun! With it's network of trampolines hidden within an underground slate cavern - it's the world’s first subterranean playground of its kind!

Every year Llanwrtyd Wells in Mid Wales plays host to a line up of unusual events including the World Bog Snorkelling Championships and the Man vs Horse Marathon.

Located in Cardiff Bay, The Cardiff International White Water Centre offers on-demand white water rapids for rafting experiences and lessons for those wanting to try something a bit different. The centre also has an indoor surfing area, and air trail challenge.

For anyone who enjoys a day at the races, West Wales is home to the Ffos Las Racecourse and the Welsh Grand National is held at Chepstow every year in December.

Both the Newport Centre and Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena have hosted the Welsh Open Snooker tournaments.

Men's Health 'Survival of the Fittest' course is set up in Cardiff Bay each year - allowing competitors to enjoy the views as they make their way around the course.
